A counter beside every dhikr
Long lists, easy counts. Many adhkar are said three, ten or a hundred times, and it is easy to lose your place. Here every one has a button that counts with you and turns to “Done” at the number the book gives.
Your place is kept for today on this device, so you can lock your phone after Fajr and carry on later.
Many people give a little every week: Friday giving on DonateOpenly is shown in the open. Thinking of a charity? Check your charity on DonateOpenly first.
Where each dhikr comes from
Every word is from Hisn al-Muslim. The pocket book of adhkar by Sa‘id al-Qahtani gathers them from the Quran and the hadith collections. Each one here shows its Arabic, our English and transliteration, its count and its source, such as Sahih Muslim 597 for the thirty-three after the prayer. An entry whose reference we can’t confirm is left out.
Dhikr questions people ask
When do the morning adhkar start and end?
Many scholars say from after Fajr until the sun is well up, and the evening adhkar from after Asr until Maghrib or a little after. The Quran asks for remembrance “morning and afternoon” (Quran 33:42). If you miss the time, saying them later is still remembrance of Allah.
Do I need wudu to say dhikr?
No. The Prophet ﷺ remembered Allah at all times (Sahih Muslim 373). Wudu is needed for the prayer, not for remembrance.
Is it 33 or 34 for Allahu akbar?
Both are taught. After the prayer, thirty-three of each and then the words of tawhid to make a hundred (Sahih Muslim 597); before sleep, thirty-four Allahu akbar (Sahih al-Bukhari 3705). The counter has both sets.
Is my dhikr count saved?
Only in your own browser, on this device. Nothing is sent to us, and the counts for each list start again the next day.
