About Dhikr List

Dhikr List is part of the Muslims Around the World network, a family of Islamic websites. Each one does one job and tries to do it well.

Why we made Dhikr List

Lists of adhkar are usually long pages of text. It is easy to lose count of a dhikr said three, ten or a hundred times. Dhikr List puts each time of day on its own page, keeps every dhikr exactly as the source has it, and adds a counter so the numbers look after themselves. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.

Food and water aid reaches families in need, with every pound shown. See which Muslim charities spend least on fundraising, from their accounts.

How the lists are put together

One chapter of the book per list. Each list follows a chapter of Hisn al-Muslim in the book’s own order. Morning and evening share one chapter; a few entries in it are said only at one of the two, and the note under each dhikr says when the words change for the evening.

Where everything comes from

The adhkar
The Arabic of every dhikr and dua is from Hisn al-Muslim (Fortress of the Muslim) by Sa‘id bin ‘Ali bin Wahf al-Qahtani, from the Arabic files published by hisnmuslim.com, copied unchanged and checked letter for letter. How many times each is said is the book’s own count.
English and transliteration
Written by Muslims Around the World from the Arabic, exactly as on muslimsaroundtheworld.org. We don’t use the published English edition of the book.
References
Each dhikr carries the hadith collection and number it comes from. An entry we can’t confirm a reference for in our source data isn’t shown, so a few entries of the book are left out.

Who runs it

Dhikr List is made by Muslims Around the World. It is free, has no third-party adverts and needs no account. Every site in the family is listed on the Muslims Around the World sites page. Before any page here is published, an automatic review checks every verse and dua against its source letter for letter, and makes sure each statement about what Islam teaches carries its reference. If you spot a mistake, please tell us through muslimsaroundtheworld.org.

Muslims Around the World is protecting the legacy of Ali Banat, may Allah have mercy on him, and every site in the family is part of that work. Read his story.
